When a dog struggles, it usually means we haven’t given them a clear picture of the world yet. That isn’t a scolding — it’s the work. They need more than food, water, and a roof. They need a job, a plan, and a person willing to follow through.
About
I discovered my passion for training the same way many trainers do: by adopting my first dog. I wanted to do right by Teddy, but within the first week, he made it clear that love is not a replacement for training. To give him the best quality of life, I needed to give him an understanding of the world and the skills needed to thrive.
Since 2023, I’ve worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. I became a trainer in the facility’s Academy, an enrichment-based program, and within two years I was asked to lead the program and its other trainers. I’ve run it ever since and have enjoyed helping dogs grow and learn. The only thing that would make me happier is getting to do more of what I love.
In-home private training lets me give each dog my full attention, with methods and goals tailored to your household. I’m on the path to certification, with a focus on behavior modification.
Fun fact: I’m such a dog person that I refuse to watch a movie where anything bad happens to the dog, even if the dog comes out all right in the end.
Sessions
Every visit is in your home, across the Greater Houston area. The last fifteen minutes are a debrief: what we worked on, and what will make the next six days count.
A 30-minute in-home meet. We map the household, the dog, and what “better” actually looks like — before we write a training plan.
Obedience, tricks, and skills — the foundation work. Each visit is tailored, not templated.
Behavior modification and enrichment. We slow down, go into the hard parts, and leave you with a week of homework that actually fits your house.
Thirty minutes in your house. I meet the dog, the people, and the problems that actually show up at home. You leave knowing what’s going on — not with a sales pitch.
We pick the skills that change daily life: leash, doorbell, structure, a job for the dog. Not a generic curriculum.
We train together in your home. Before I leave, you get written homework you can actually keep. Progress is scored 1–7 so you can see every phase.
